Friday Analysis

Not much to say really; it was wet.

No useful data gathered today due to the conditions, plus the times are all skewed so we don't really know who is quick and who is not.

It'll be interesting to see if the teams use their summer-upgrades or not given the lack of running, i suspect they won't. Only time will tell!

Tomorrow is expected to be dry, as is Sunday - although you never quite can tell in Spa. If the forecast is wrong, and we do see some rain tomorrow, then the very little data the teams have from today will actually become valid - let's see what happens.

Review quotes here.

Formula Renault 2.0 NEC
FP1 Results: Engineer 7th (1:46.418).
FP2 Results: Engineer 12th (1:46.948).

Decent results for Shahaan today, he'll be very happy heading into tomorrows sessions :-)

Elsewhere ...

Indian driver Armaan Ebrahim was driving in Indy Lights earlier this season but got surprisingly sacked, despite decent results. He has now managed to negotiate a deal in the GT1 World Championship, effective immediately.

He'll drive for Sunred Engineering, a Spanish team currently 8th in the championship out of the nine entrants after 12 races. There are six more races to go, two of which are at the Buddh International Circuit!

It'll be interesting to see how Armaan fairs on his debut in this pretty prestigious series alongside French teammate, Benjamin Lariche. Armaan's first race is this weekend, the GT1 schedule is online here.
