Armaan debut in Indy & Indian fans out to enjoy Malaysian GP

A good news along with a bit off news from the same event for Armaan as for the very first time he sat in the Firestone Indy car this Wednesday. The Indy series had it's first testing on Wednesday at the Sebring International Raceway track to mark the start of the 2012 season. 9 drivers drove in the testing. Armaan made it's debut in the Fan Force United car and completed 32 laps with a time of 00:59.6408s with a top speed of 100.803 before he crashed out hitting the barriers in T6. The team couldn't fix the car and thus his day ended during the Practice session 1. He ended at P8 but thankfully he was unhurt in the incident. It's still early days for him, he's learning the tracks and the new type of competition and so these incidents is all in the learning process. To read more on the testing click here.

I came across an interesting article in Deccan Chronicle about the new season of F1. It reads about some die-hard F1 fans heading over to Malaysia for the Malaysian GP on the 23rd-25th weekend of March. The tabloid has quoted several fans about their proposed journey to Malaysia.
