Hungarian GP - Race

Results: Di Resta 7th (6points), Sutil 14th.

Despite a lack of luck for Force India, the race turned out to end brilliantly for the team!

Adrian Sutil started in 8th and Paul Di Resta started 11th so the team were hoping for a double points finish however once the cars got underway Adrian dropped way down the field on the opening lap. The reason was unseen by the World TV feed however i am assuming a collision with Perez was the reason as both cars were near the back heading into lap two. That, and getting stuck behind Kovalainen for a long time ruined Adrian's afternoon.

Di Resta had a decent start and held position well. He did lose out in the pit stop phases to other cars among the chaos of changeable conditions - maybe our strategy wasn't perfect this weekend however Paul made it work, carving his way past other cars including Buemi and Kobayashi towards the end of the grand prix to grab a brilliant 7th place! There was a scary incident for Di Resta at one point where Hamilton spun in front of him and Paul had to make a last minute avoiding action, taking to the grass but he did extremely well to keep his head calm and control the car. Overall a very mature and impressive drive for the Scotsman.

For the second race in a row Force India outscored rivals Sauber to closed the gap in the championship down to just 9points! That is very promising going into the next race at a circuit Force India are historically very impressive - Spa Francorchamps, Belgium.

Over the coming days Darshan Chokhani will be writing his in-depth weekend review so keep an eye out for that! =)
